The change in knit pattern, with a pique knit above the waist and a diamond pattern below, is inspired by the koshishita hishizashi (diamond stitching below the waist) of Kendo uniforms, while keeping the length above the knee.
The sturdy construction above the waist and the design below the waist, which prevents bulkiness within the hakama, add a touch of flair to daily wear.
The Indigo color has been hand-bleached to bring out the authentic texture of the Kendo uniform.
The single prominent wooden button and the side slits further enhance the mood and are excellent details.
